      Pee Wee Hunt and his orchestra – Twelfth Street Rag. Pee Wee werd geboren in 1907 als Walter Gerhardt Hunt en was afkomstig uit een zeer muzikale familie. Pee Wee speelde tal van instrumenten, waaronder trombone en banjo. In 1948 had hij zijn eerste enorm grote hit met ‘Twelfth Street Rag’, dat de nummer 1 positie bereikte in de maand september in Amerika, een nummer waar meer dan 3 miljoen exemplaren van werden verkocht. De generatie deejays actief in de jaren zeventig van de vorige eeuw kenden het nummer van het vele horen op de radio in de decennia daarvoor. Joop Verhoof nam het nummer dan ook in 1976 als eindtune van de Flashbackshow op Radio Mi Amigo.
       
      Pee Wee Hunt and his orchestra - Twelfth Street Rag. Pee Wee was born Walter Gerhardt Hunt in 1907 to a very musical family. Pee Wee played many instruments, including the trombone and banjo. In 1948, he had his first huge hit with "Twelfth Street Rag", which reached the number one position in the month of September in America, a song that sold more than 3 million copies. The generation of deejays active in the seventies of the last century knew the song from hearing it a lot on the radio in the decades before. Joop Verhoof recorded the song in 1976 as the end tune of the Flashback Show on Radio Mi Amigo.
