Als je de (2) files eerst eens even snel afluistert, merk je (op) dat ze omgedraaid zijn, heeft niets met de datering te maken.

Jack Spector was not heard again on Caroline South until Monday 14th February 1966 when the station was broadcasting with very low power o­n 1493 kHz from the Cheetah II. The Jack Spector Show was now broadcast from 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm. Caroline South o­n the Cheetah II was off the air from Sunday 20th February 1966 until 10.20 am o­n Saturday 26th February. The station started at 10.20 am with the Jack Spector Show until 11.20 am. This was the first time the Jack Spector Show was broadcast o­n Caroline on a Saturday. Caroline South was off the air again from Monday 28th February 1966 until Sunday 6th March 1966 when the Jack Spector Show was o­n the air again from 10.00 am - 11.00 am. From Monday 7th March 1966 Jack Spector Show was broadcast from 6.00 pm until 7.00 pm on both Caroline North and South. Caroline South was off the air for 45 minutes o­n Saturday 12th March 1966 so Jack Spector was o­nly broadcast from 10.30 am - 11.00 am. Luister op bijvoorbeeld 53 seconden en je hoort de melodie van "Man of Action'' maar anderhalf jaar eerder dan de versie van Les Reed uit begin 1970. 🙂

Ik hield het niet bij één soort in mijn kindertijd/tienertijd. Zover ik mij kan herinneren: Chiclets, Sportlife, Bazooka, uiteraard Stimorol, ja ook die van Donald Duck 😉 en de verschillende smaken van Wrigley's, het laatste merk, werd midden jaren 70, behoorlijk gepromoot op Radio Caroline. Ook heel wat kauwgom gekocht voor de plaatjes van de Thunderbirds/ Captain Scarlet, Batman en zelfs de Fabeltjeskrant 🙂 Voor de kauwgom was er trouwens ook een korte periode dat er drop(nies)poeder bij die plaatjes zat. En inderdaad helemaal compleet kreeg je de verzameling nooit. 😞

Rond 20.30 uur even geluisterd (in Delft) en het kwam aardig binnen, iets harder dan Extra AM, die iets hoger in de band zit.

Toch wel knap van hem, om dan een jaar of 10 voor Veronica en Mi Amigo te (mogen) blijven werken en de directie van die radiostations het niet opviel, dat ze een briefkaartjes voorlezer in dienst hadden, met geen verdere toegevoegde waarde. 😉

Krijg je een keer een echt kijkje in de 'keuken' en dan ga je het deleten als Stan Haag Radio Veronica / Mi Amigo fan?

Maar dat was natuurlijk geen 'gewone' dinsdag. 😉

En dat is logisch, want het is een opname gemaakt in de studio, met een vermoedelijk los opnameapparaat/microfoon.

Bij Radio Luxemburg 208 was vast ook wel een plekje voor de 'Lextalige uitzendingen'. 😉

Ik denk dat je die 27 Kilowatt voor de toekomst met een korreltje zout moet nemen, het beoogde einddoel is natuurlijk die 16 Kilowatt aan vermogen, nog wat meer vermogen daarboven, maakt vrijwel niet(s) uit voor nog (wat) betere ontvangst.

Maar nog niet in 1970. 😉 Vanaf eind 1972, was er vast ook wel een plekje voor de Lexjo om 19.00 uur op RNI, vlak voor de Engelstalige service. :-)

Aanvraag meer vermogen voor Radio Caroline 648 kHz. '' We request a 6dB increase from our current 4kw. This is well within the capabilities of our transmitter and antenna system and the frequency of 648 is already internationally cleared for significantly higher power from our site at Orfordness. We anticipate that fundraising campaigns in 2023 will be more successful. We believe the requested a power increase will not only enhance reception in our existing coverage area but will roughly double the current radius of coverage. This does not require any additional frequency resource, impact negatively as outgoing interference to others nor require any equipment or technical investment as our transmitter system can already provide this increased power. In the fullness of time, and finances permitting, we would like to explore with OFCOM the feasibility of running our transmitter system at its full rated power of 27kw as well as testing additional technologies on the AM frequencies, such as DRM and CQUAM.
