    Cream – Sunshine of your love. Dit nummer is afkomstig van de in november 1967 verschenen lp ‘Disraeli Gears’, die het best verkochte album was van de groep met als leden Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton en Ginger Baker. De tekst van het nummer werd geschreven door Pete Brown. In 1968 verscheen het trouwens op een single in Nederland maar bereikte slechts een week de hitlijsten op nummer 17. Dat was begin maart 1968. Radio Caroline, dat begin die maand voor langere tijd uit de ether verdween, was het enige station dat het nummer intensief draaide. Het was in 1973 Andy Archer die de intro van ‘Sunshine of your love’ gebruikte voor 2 jingles: ‘This is the Joop Verhoofshow on Radio Atlantis’ en ‘Good afternoon this is Joop Verhoof on Radio Atlantis.’ Cream - Sunshine of your love.     Mr Bloe – Ja da. Een nummer van Mr. Bloe uit 1970 van de lp Blowin with Mr. Bloe. Officieel is de titel ‘Ja da, Ja da, Jing Jing Jing’ en werd het in 1918 al opgenomen door Bob Carleton begeleid door het orkest van Arthur Fields. De uitvoering van Mr. Bloe werd op Radio Atlantis gebruikt door Mozes van den Berg in het doordeweekse programma tussen 9 en 10 uur in de ochtend, genaamd Stofzuigermuziek. Een verzoekplatenprogramma voor bedrijven en kantoren. Mr. Bloe - Ja da. A 1970 song by Mr. Bloe from the album Blowin with Mr. Bloe.     André Brasseur – A.B. Waltz. De muziek van André Brasseur is veelvuldig al beschreven in de zeezenderdiscografie. Het nummer ‘A.B. Waltz’ stond nog niet in de lijst en wijkt enigszins af van wat Brasseur ons gemiddeld voorschotelde. Het was A.J. Beirens die de A.B.Waltz inzette voor een tweetal jingles voor Radio Atlantis: ‘Tune into 3 1 2’. Het nummer komt op een aantal lp’s voor, waaronder de uit 1970 afkomstige ‘The Golden Organ of André Brasseur’ André Brasseur - A.B. Waltz.     Osibisa – Spirits up above. Dit nummer komt voor op de lp Wayaya, die in 1971 door de groep werd opgenomen. Het gaat om een Afro Rock formatie die in 1969 in London werd opgericht en bevat zowel muzikanten uit Ghana als het Caribisch gebied. Het nummer Spirits up above werd op Radio Atlantis gebruikt voor de productie van een spot ingesproken door Tony Windsor: ‘Hello, this is TW reminding you that you’re listening to Radio Atlantis on 312 metres, your offshore station’, gevolgd door promotie voor de Campaign for Independant Broadcasting.     Judge Dread – Nine and a bit Skank Het zo herkenbare geluid van Judge Dread en de achterkant van Big Nine, die in 1974 rond de Kerst door Tony Allan voor de kerstsong werd gebruikt. Maar ook dook er een opname op waarin Steve England op Radio Atlantis ‘Nine and a bit Skank’ gebruikte en wel als eindtune in zijn programma van 24 augustus dat jaar. De in 1928 in Nürnberg geboren Duitse componist, pianist, orkestleider en arrangeur heeft tal van platen met zijn orkest opgenomen waaronder ‘World Cup Finale’ op het RCA label in 1974. Dit ter gelegenheid van het Wereldkampioenschap Voetbal dat in dat jaar in Duitsland werd gehouden. Het werd onder meer gebruikt door Eric Mess als tune op Radio Mi Amigo 272 tijdens de Tipparade in 1979. Maar ook was het de tune van de Atlantis Top 40 in 1973. De derde vernoeming betreft Ferry Eden die het als tune gebruikte voor de Nederlandse top 40 op Radio Mi Amigo in 1978. Werner Drexler Orchester - World Cup Fanfare 1974.     Lovelets – Typewriter rock. Dit nummer is de b kant van de single met op de voorkant ‘Kiss me me amore’. Een sound waarbij de saxofoon de hoofdrol speelde. Componisten waren Jean Kluger en Daniel Vangarde. Ze werkten op dat moment vanuit Parijs. Kluger had daarvoor al vele successen als componist. In 1960 bijvoorbeeld met het nummer Kili Watch van de Cousins. Verder hits voor Bobbejaan Schoepen en Will Tura. Na een viertal singles met de Lovelets schreef Kluger nog vele songs voor onder meer Bananarama, the Gibson Brothers en Ottawan. Tevens dient vermeld te worden dat hij de man achter the Yamasuki Singers was. Terugkerend bij Typewriter rock is het zo dat Will van der Steen het nummer als eindtune gebruikte in zijn programma op Radio Atlantis in 1973. Lovelets - Typewriter rock.     Jo Buffalo’s Band – Slag Solution. Dit nummer is afkomstig uit 1972 en werd door Theo van den Velde gebruikt als tune. Hij was trouwens tevens de eerste deejay die, na de terugkomst van Radio Atlantis officiële programmering op 30 december 1973 een programma, met de naam ‘Katers en Koppijn’ presenteerde. Daaraan voorafgaande was een groot aantal dagen van testuitzendingen geweest met vooral Crispian St. John. De formatie Jo Buffalo’s Band was trouwens afkomstig uit Frankrijk. De formatie the Peppers, die voornamelijk electro pop speelde, had ons eerder verrast met de Pepperbox. Het nummer ‘Pinch of Salt’ werd in september 1973 op Radio Atlantis als eindtune gebruikt door Fred van den Bosch in zijn middagprogramma, waarin hij het nog steeds over Atlantis 385 had, weken nadat het station op de 259 meter van start was gegaan. Top Jerk werd liefst twee keer gebruikt en wel door Debbie England op Radio Atlantis in 1974 als eindtune van haar programma, terwijl op Radio Mi Amigo in de tijd dat men datzelfde jaar nog gebruik maakte van het postbusadres in Hilversum, er door Peter van Dam een promospot werd gemaakt: ‘Het Mi Amgio t-shirt is nu in ieders bereik voor een tientje of honderdvijftig frank…’ Electronic System - Top Jerk.     Tony Nolte en Rob Franken – Koning Klant/Tita Tovenaar. In 1973 doken beide heren achter de piano om een onvervalste Boogie Woogie lp op te nemen, die op het Omega label onder de naam ‘Boogie Woogie TV tunes’ werd uitgebracht. Eén van de nummers op die lp ‘Koning Klant/Tita Tovenaar’ werd door Victor van Rijn op Radio Atlantis gebruikt als zijnde zijn tune. Tony Nolte en Rob Franken – Koning Klant/Tita Tovenaar. Both men decided to record a typical boogie woogie lp filled with themes from tv programs popular in the early seventies.
