    Neasden Connection - Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1. Uiteraard hebben we te maken met een compositie van de Rus Pjotr Iljitsj Tsjaikovski. Er zijn tal van bewerkingen waaronder die van de uit noord London afkomstige formatie Neasden Connection die het op Horse label in 1972 opnamen. Het was in maart 1973 dat Pierre Deseyn het gebruikte om een promo voor een eigen programma in te spreken namelijk voor het allereerste DX programma dat hij op 22 april op RNI via de 6205 kHz zou gaan presenteren. Neasden Connection - Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1. This is, of course, a composition by the Russian Pjotr Iljitsj Tchaikovsky. There are numerous adaptations, including one by the North London formation Neasden Connection who recorded it on Horse label in 1972.     Percy Faith And His Orchestra – Main Theme from a Summer Place. Dit is de originele uitvoering van ‘Theme from a Summer Place’ dat in 1959 voor het eerst werd uitgebracht en voor de gelijknamige film werd gecomponeerd door Max Steiner. Het is een van de meest fantastische instrumentale nummers ooit gecomponeerd. Aan boord van de MEBO II werd in de jaren zeventig door Robin Banks een jingle geproduceerd die in 2021 boven water kwam in het nalatenschap van AJ Beirens. Het begon, met gebruik van de main theme from a summer place, met: ‘Are you being a little bit gay tonight than Radio Northsea International has the answer for you…’ We gaan er vanuit dat deze nooit is uitgezonden. Percy Faith And His Orchestra - Main Theme from a Summer Place. This is the original performance of 'Theme from a Summer Place' which was first released in 1959 and composed for the film of the same name by Max Steiner. It is one of the most fantastic instrumental songs ever composed. A jingle was produced on board the MEBO II by Robin Banks in the 1970s and surfaced in the estate of AJ Beirens in 2021. It began, using the main theme from a summer place, with: 'Are you being a little bit gay tonight then Radio Northsea International has the answer for you...'     Horst Jankowski – Any problem now? Dit instrumentale nummer kwam in 1968 uit als b-kant op de single ‘I feel like a child’ op het Mercury label. Het was Spangles Muldoon die het als tune gebruikte op RNI in 1970 als hij de Top 30 Show presenteerde, met daarin ook de nieuwe deejay hitpicks, de station hitpick en enkele nieuwe releases. Het programma was destijds op zondagmiddag te beluisteren vanaf 12 uur. Horst Jankowski - Any problem now? This instrumental was released in 1968 as a b-side to the single 'I feel like a child' on the Mercury label. Het was Robb Eden die ‘Yellow and Blue’ gebruikte voor het produceren van een jingle: ‘Good evening, I’m here to remind you to tune in tonight at midnight to Graham Gill on Radio Northsea International’.     Met de hulp van twee jarenlange radiovrienden is de radio-erfenis van A.J.Beirens in Nederland aangekomen en zullen de banden de komende tijd gedigitaliseerd worden. Het was de wens van AJ om de tapes, documenten en foto's aan mij te overhandigen, niet alleen om ze veilig te stellen, maar ook om ze beschikbaar te stellen voor radioliefhebbers uit de RNI tijd.
