An diesem Samstag hat Europas freie Radioszene wieder ihren Treffpunkt: Die Veranstaltung findet von 13.00 Uhr bis 19.00 Uhr im Observatorium der Sternwarte Neanderhöhe SNH in 40699 Erkrath statt. Einlass ist ab 12.00 Uhr.

Tagesprogramm:

• Unser Ehrengast ist Arnold Layne (Greg Bance) von RNI. Er berichtet über seine Zeit auf der MEBO II und seine Karrriere danach. Begonnen hatte er als Roger Scott bei Radio Essex, Radio 270, Radio 390 und Radio Caroline North.
  
• Widerstand von hoher See: Martin van der Ven berichtet über den Seesender der Deutschen Freiheitspartei im Jahre 1938.
  
• Nick Barker war lange Jahre Techniker beim BFBS in Köln und London. Ein Blick hinter die Kulissen.
  
• OffshoreRadio und ShowBiz: Chet Reuter erzählt die spannende Geschichte von Radio City, die mit der Kaperung des Senders und dem Tod von Reg Calvert entscheidend die britische Gesetzgebung gegen die Sender beeinflusst hatte.
  
• Wie immer sind auch diesmal DJs von Radio Marabu und Radio Northsea International bei uns vor Ort.

Veranstaltungsort:

Vom Düsseldorfer Hauptbahnhof aus fährt man mit der S -Bahn Linie S 8 in Richtung Hagen Wuppertal bis Haltepunkt Hochdahl-Millrath, geht dann in Fahrtrichtung an der Landstraße bis zum Hausmannsweg. An diesem liegt nach ein paar hundert Metern das Observatorium. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto ab der Autobahn Abfahrt Haan-West der A 46 ist im Ort Erkrath ausgeschildert.

Der Eintritt beträgt 12.- EURO incl. Begrüssungsdrink. Voranmeldung oder Rückfragen bitte an e-mail.

On Saturday 1st September 2012, we organise the annual meeting for radio makers and listeners for the 8th time in the rooms of the observatory Sternwarte Neanderhöhe in D-40699 Erkrath. The event is scheduled from 13:00 to 19:00 hours EST, entrance is from 12.00 o'clock EST.

Program of this day:

• Our special guest wil be Arnold Layne (Greg Bance). He is known to many by his broadcasts on Radio Northsea International. Have a look at his career from Radios Essex, Radio 270, Radio 390 and Radio Caroline North up until today.
  
• Resistance from the High Seas: Martin van der Ven recalling the offshore station Sender der Deutschen Freiheitspartei, a free German voice from excile in 1938.
  
• Nick Barker was engineer at BFBS Cologne and London. Have a look behind the walls of that station.
  
• OffshoreRadio and ShowBiz: Chet Reuter tells the story of Radio City, whose raid and the death of Reg Calvert had a basic influence on establishing the British MOA.
  
• As always the DJs of Radio Marabu and Radio Northsea International will be present.

The location:

From Düsseldorf railway station one can get there by train S 8, direction Wuppertal/Hagen. You leave at stop Hochdahl-Millrath and walk the road in direction of the train to small way. on right hand named Hausmannsweg. After a vew hundred meters you see the observatory. By car you leave Autobahn A 46 at exit Haan West to Erkrath, in the town the way is marked 'Observatorium'.

The entrance fee is 12.- EURO including a welcome drink. Preliminary registration or requests please by e-mail.
