Klopt. Tussen 9 en 11 uur was er het programma Van ontbijt tot koffietijd.

This is another apparent (rare) studio recording. I have been collecting Caroline 558 recordings for over 2 decades: all AM recordings of varying quality.

 

And then suddenly I hear 2 studio recordings in 2 days. Many thanks to the discoverers and uploaders.

 

Some notes:

 

This is a period when the DJs started giving their shows names. Ian calls his programme "Miles out at Sea". (The following show was "Powerdrive" with Rob Harrison).

 

Time is approximately 2.56pm to 3.57pm according to the ding-ding (4m 10s), time-check (17m 5s) and other announcements... there seem to be a couple of very short gaps in the recording.

 

There's a very amusing promo at 27m 30s with lots of short clips of Radio Caroline DJs (apparently taken from tapes of their shows) including the announcement "if you see a radio that isn't tuned to Caroline 558, just smash it... Smash it into 1000 pieces!".

 

(Perhaps this may explain why this tape was made... as a source of material for future promos?)

 

Obviously they were made for some reason, but it's amazing they were kept all this time...!
