Here are a couple of short recordings from 1187 khz some 40 years ago.

The first is from October 5th with Mike Moorkens closing Atlantis at 1900 and Tony Allan with Birthday greetings before the interval at 1905. The station was just back after the collapse of the mast and that can be heard in the poor signal. Also Bob Noakes mentions in his book that they had an off channel crystal at this time, hence the hetrodyne whistle.

Then from the 15th October there is the end of Atlantis at 1900 and then Bart Van Der Laar with the Mi Amigo programme. At 2000 you can hear Ian Anderson with the announcement that Radio Seagull will be on air at 2100. Then the start of Radio Seagull with Johnny Jason.
