A recording that I have seen labelled as October 1973, certainly the cassette that I have in my collection gives that month. However from the "Smash Play" and the fact it is early Friday morning gives us the true date.

The recording's date, however, is Friday 26 October. As it's still in the early hours of Friday, so before the new top 30 later in the evening, the smash play by The String Driven Thing) is still from the week before, that is 19 October.  Later on in the show (at 1.24.40) Graham plays a top 30 song by Linda Lewis and gives the chart postiton as no. 10, and this was in the 19 October chart.
