I heard that he was due to join Caroline North some weeks later, but this didn't happen as the ships were towed away. http://www.mediafire.com/file/yvzvnam0g252jbd/19680124_1056-1200_SpanglesMuldoon.mp3 Here is a good piece of Caroline on 27th February 1968 with Henry |Morgan, Andy Archer and Roger Day http://www.mediafire.com/file/tat8lkbw0hwceba/19680227_0935-1000_HenryMorgan.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/w86b5d9789jwfk9/19680227_1000-1100_HenryMorgan.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/587bbiqbs1i910p/19680227_1100-1200_HenryMorgan.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/myr9yjuxatvuyog/19680227_1200-1300_AndyArcher.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/vwqh1mbtt8h08sz/19680227_1300-1400_AndyArcher.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/ey2bn7gntle3xac/19680227_1400-1500_AndyArcher.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/bebyi8px3z1gowr/19680227_1500-1600_RogerDay.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/fr281o5p26zgty9/19680227_1600-1700_RogerDay.mp3 http://www.mediafire.com/file/a9d53mozdm4b7ad/19680227_1700-1748_RogerDay.mp3 And the first hour of the only programme that Roger Scott presented on Caroline North. Geplaatst 26 februari 20187 jr. I did some work on the sound quality of this unique Caroline North recording from way back March 2 1968, just hours before the Fredericia was towed to Holland. So the first and only Roger Scott show with enhanced sound quality and I made a correction to the speed of this 45 minute recording. Thanks goes to Ian. Here’s the recording https://pixeldra.in/u/FgBhhf And the final Don Allen that same night. 50 years ago on March 2 1968 the final broadcast was made from the legendary MV Fredericia home of the original Radio Caroline later to be known as Caroline North. The final voice heard on Caroline North on that Saturday was the voice of Don Allen in his C&W Jamboree between 2000 and 2200 hours. At 2200 hours on that Saturday night Caroline North closed down for maintenance on the transmitter. in the early hours of the Sunday the ship was towed to Amsterdam.
