Robbie Owen's Jukebox Drive In is broadcasting three weeks of features about Radio 270.

First last night was when I was interviewed about it's history from when it was first announced until closedown and the later aborted sale of the Ocean 7 to Radio Caroline when I briefly met Ronan onboard the Ocean 7.

My Dad, manager of the National Provincial Bank Whitby, was good friends with one of their directors Tony Rylands. The money their shareholders invested was transferred to two Panamanian companies, one owned the ship, the other the equipment. That was done through his bank. Plenty of jingles, audio, ads, promos and records played by Radio 270 are included.
