    Het programma van Nick Jackson is van een dag eerder.

    In het nieuws gelezen vlak na 16 uur vertelt Johnny Blackburn dat over een uur de UEFA World Cup startte met een wedstrijd tussen Argentinië (met Diego Maradona) en Kameroen. En dat was op vrijdag 8 juni 1990. Gisteren had jij deze ook al gedeeld, maar toen met edits, die Hans vandaag uit elkaar heeft geknipt, omdat ook van 10-6-1990 er nog een gedeelte op zat.

    Another recording of historical interest.

    During Tony Palmer's show, he makes fun of Rico: "Don't forget at 6am this morning, you'll have Rico, radio's answer to the test card" and "the first hour or so of his programme he actually works on auto-pilot".

    Well Rico ends up missing the first hour of his show because there was another generator failure! *

    Africa by Toto starts at 37m10s, it already seems to sound slightly slow to me... it progressively slows down over the next 4 minutes until the transmitter cuts out.

    A re-start is attempted a minute later, but the generator gives up a second time.

    There's no mention of rough seas causing trouble, so possibly a different problem (clogged fuel line?).

    * Transmissions apparently re-commenced at 7am according to a comment in Chris Frisco's 9am show: he claimed that Tony "blew up the studio"(!)
