This sounds like a syndicated show, but are there specific stations that ran this show in the 80s, to your knowledge?
And from what station do you collect the new broadcasts?

I know Watermark from the year 1980. Here in the Netherlands the programme for popdocumenturies 'Poster' bij Tom Mulder ran a year long series Geschiedenis van de Popmuziek (History of Pop Music) in 1980 (54 episodes I guess), which was a Watermark Production, translated to Dutch. The translation and song choice was literally taken word by word from the American template, so we in Holland heard the pop history from an American perspective. As a 12 year old I didn't notice then, but it lead to some strange choices in bands /acts that got a lot of attention and others no attention at all. But besides that it was a great listen.
Do you perhaps have the original series of Watermark? Love to hear that!
Here in Holland there are a lot of people that can share the Dutch version, if you are interested, including me.
