Beatstalkers, the – Baseline The Beatstalkers was een Schotse groep die in de mid-jaren zestig van de vorige eeuw zowel in Schotland als Engeland in het clubcircuit optrad. In juli 1966 was op het Decca label de single ‘A love like yours’ – de bekende compositie van Holland en Dozzier – gepland. Er ontstond ruzie met de originele manager en de deur ging op slot. Wel werd de single later in het illegale circuit te koop aangeboden. Aan boord van Radio 270 was de plaat in ieder geval want Guy Hamilton gebruikte het bijvoorbeeld voor de promo ten bate van ‘The 270 Free Patrol Competition’ en het voorlezen van verzoekjes.
