Duke Pearson Big Band – Straight up and down. Deze big band bestond uit 16 personen waarbij leider Duke Pearson degene was die de piano onder meer bespeelde. Het nummer Straight up and down werd in 1967 opgenomen. Het werd gereleased op de lp ‘Introducing Duke Pearson’. Introductie had de band eigenlijk niet meer nodig want het was de 11de lp, die trouwens op het Blue Note label werd uitgebracht. Het nummer werd bij Radio Veronica in 1971 als tune gebruikt door Gerard de Vries voor het programma ‘Nachtklup’.
