El Chicano  What’s going on. Dit nummer werd gecomponeerd door Al Cleveland, Renaldo Benson en Marvin Gaye. Marvin nam het nummer in 1971 op. De instrumentale versie van El Chicano, een groep die een gelijke sound had als Santana, kwam in januari 1973 met deze versie op de lp El Chicano. Het was Ferry Maat die de lp erbij pakte tijdens een van zijn uitzendingen in maart 1974 op Radio Noordzee om het als filler te gebruiken in zijn programma, op weg naar het volgende nieuwsbulletin.

The instrumental version of El Chicano, a group that had a similar sound to Santana, was released in January 1973 on the album El Chicano. It was Ferry Maat who grabbed the album during one of his broadcasts in March 1974 on Radio Noordzee to use it as a filler in his programme, on the way to the next news bulletin.
