Dave Baby Cortez – Summertime. Het was in de lente van 1967 dat de uit Yorkshire afkomstige Phil Hayton, na te hebben gesolliciteerd bij Will Proudfoot, een baan kreeg bij Radio 270 als nieuwslezer. Ook werd hij ingezet voor het maken van commercials. Toen er een tekort aan deejays op het zendschip was ging hij ook programma’s presenteren. Officieel had hij als tune ‘Countdown’ van Dave Baby Cortez maar ook de b-kant van deze single, ‘Summertime’ werd soms daarvoor gebruikt. Hij bleef bij 270 tot de closedown in Augustus 1967.

He was also employed to make commercials. When there was a shortage of deejays on the ship, he also started presenting programmes. Officially his tune was 'Countdown' by Dave Baby Cortez but also the b-side of this single, 'Summertime' was sometimes used for that. He stayed with 270 until the closedown in August 1967.
