Romantica’s – Sweet Marylee. Er is een aantal groepen dat in het verleden maar ook in het heden de naam ‘Romantica’s’ gebruikt(e). Bij het nummer Sweet Marylee gaat het om een 5-mans formatie uit het Noord Limburgse Mook. Ze brachten het nummer op single uit met op de andere kant ‘Ping Ping’ en wel in 1974. In hetzelfde jaar verscheen het ook op de lp ‘De Saxy Sound of the Romantica’s’. De platen werden uitgebracht door Negram en het was Joop Verhoof die het nummer gebruikte als opvuller naar het nieuws van de drive in show in een van zijn programma’s op Radio Mi Amigo in 1974.

 

Romantics - Sweet Marylee. There are a number of groups that have used(ed) the name 'Romantica's' in the past but also in the present. The song Sweet Marylee involves a 5-member formation from the North Limburg town of Mook. They released the song on single with 'Ping Ping' on the other side in 1974. In the same year, it also appeared on the LP 'The Saxy Sound of the Romantics'. The records were released by Negram and it was Joop Verhoof who used the song as a filler to the drive-in show news in one of his programmes on Radio Mi Amigo in 1974.
