According to Monitor No.38, Rene had left the Ross on the 12th. Ron covered 1000-1200 and 1600-1800, Erik covered 1300-1600 and 1800-1900. Koos the cook and Erik shared the newsreading. Comments?

If thijs is right (for the date of the news), then the date for the Top 50 show is probably 8th January also...?

 

(And, if he's right for the time of the Top 50 show, therefore news is actually from an hour earlier than stated... they appear to be 2 files split from the same recording).

The time of the news is correct at 1457-1500. It seems to me that this should be tagged on to the end of the Top 50 file. Comments? I already have the following hour (1500-1600) presented by Erik Beekman.

I think that the 819 Top 50 list presented by René Bakker is indeed from the 8th January 1989.  He ends his show that hour with the number 14 song by Annie Lennox and Al Green. In the news before 14 hours you hear something about the death of Emperor Hirohito from Japan, who died on 7th January 1989.

 

A week later the same 819 Top 50 show was presented by Erik Beekman. He starts the next hour with the number 17 song from Marc Almond.

 

So the numbers 17, 16, 15 and 14 you can hear twice if you listen to those 2 recordings.

Dan kan mijn stelling, zoals ik die beschreven heb hierboven aardig kloppen. De opname van René Bakker moet dan van een week eerder zijn; 8 januari 1989.

Wel typisch dat men dezelfde lijst hanteerde op zowel de 8ste als de 15de januari 1989.

Dat zal met de wisseling van de wacht te maken hebben.

Vandaar ook de ontstane verwarring.
