In 1999 werden er via het MNO kanaal op de ASTRA satelliet een aantal Radio Luxembourg Vintage Sound Survey Shows uitgezonden, gepresenteerd door Shaun Tilly en Paul Burnett. Ik heb er toen een aantal opgenomen, maar vraag me af of ik er misschien wat gemist heb. Hieronder zie je een overzicht van wat ik denk dat er toen uitgezonden is. Good evening, fans of old radio shows ... Yes, there really was a time, when former Luxy DJs Shaun Tilley and veteran Paul Burnett hosted a radio shows on MNO ... But it started in late 1998 : Shaun Tilley & Paul Burnett, two legendary jocks

of RADIO LUXEMBOURG, produced a two hours show entitled "65 years of Radio Luxembourg".

This show has been broadcasted on Merlin Network One (MNO)

and several radio stations in the UK around Christmas 1998 .

While preparing the show Shaun noticed that there is still a deep demand for 208 Radio Luxembourg.

Even today hundreds of mails or e-mails reach former LUXY jocks with question regarding the old days.

For that reason Shaun Tilley decided in coordination with MNO to produce "The vintage Sound Survey Show".

Each edition will carefully aim to re-create the unique feel of Luxembourg in whatever year is featured in the programme using the 208 jingles, news stories amd hit singles of the time.

In early 1999, MNO broadcasted a number of vintage Luxembourg Top Charts, presented by Shaun Tilley.

These programs were broadcasted on Short Wave and through satellite.

Shaun Tilley's "Vintage Sound Survey Show" will be broadcasted :

january 09th presenting 1979, january 16th presenting 1983, january 23th presenting 1980, january 30th presenting 1978 ...

Further broadcasts will be each saturday in February and each last saturday from march ....

Thanks for your extensive posting, Funpirate!! Please allow me to find out what I have in my archives. Since this is then probably the full list, I might have (almost) all of them (including the broadcast of 15-12-1998) and will start posting these. Are others also interested?

In the mean time I have found the digital copies. I also need to go and find the DATs, I recorded these on. Some of the broadcasts are in stereo and some in mono, I want to check whether that's the same on the DATs. It looks like I have all of them, I was missing maybe one or two of them, but got these from someone in Norway (I believe) on Compact Cassette. The first one, missing from Funpirate's archive, has been posted.
