President’s Own United States Marine Band, the – The hymn of the United States Marine Corps. Het is de officiële herkenningstune van de Amerikaanse Marine Band. Er bestaat naast de instrumentale versie een vocale, waarvan de woorden vele decennia later door een onbekend persoon zijn toegevoegd. In 1867 werd de instrumentale versie gecomponeerd door Jacques Offenbach als onderdeel van de opera ‘Geneviève de Brabant’. In 1929 werd dit nummer geadopteerd door de leiding van de US Marine Band. In 1974 werd een deel van het nummer gebruikt voor de productie van de jingle: ‘The famous Atlantis Archives are on the air….’ waarna altijd een ‘Dusty gem at 78RPM’ werd gedraaid.
