Deze twee stukken marsmuziek, beiden composities van John Philip Sousa, werden, in combinatie met ‘O Cangaceiro in de uitvoering van Mitch Miller and his Orchestra, gebruikt als achtergrondmuziek bij uitgebreide aankondigingen tijdens de testuitzendingen van KING Radio met kreten als ‘your day by day holiday’, ‘King Radio London a new sound of news and music’ en ‘This is K I N G test transmission you’re number one radio.’ Het testsignaal haalde trouwens nauwelijks de kust.

Mitch Miller and his orchestra – O’Cangaceiro.
