Werner Drexler Orchester - World Cup Fanfare 1974. De in 1928 in Nürnberg geboren Duitse componist, pianist, orkestleider en arrangeur heeft tal van platen met zijn orkest opgenomen waaronder ‘World Cup Finale’ op het RCA label in 1974. Dit ter gelegenheid van het Wereldkampioenschap Voetbal dat in dat jaar in Duitsland werd gehouden. Het werd onder meer gebruikt door Eric Mess als tune op Radio Mi Amigo 272 tijdens de Tipparade in 1979. Maar ook was het de tune van de Atlantis Top 40 in 1973. De derde vernoeming betreft Ferry Eden die het als tune gebruikte voor de Nederlandse top 40 op Radio Mi Amigo in 1978.

The German composer, pianist, conductor and arranger, born in Nuremberg in 1928, has recorded numerous records with his orchestra, including 'World Cup Finale' on the RCA label in 1974. This was on the occasion of the World Cup soccer championship held in Germany that year. It was used by Eric Mess, among others, as a tune on Radio Mi Amigo 272 during the Tipparade in 1979. But it was also the tune of the Atlantis Top 40 in 1973. The third one to mention is Ferry Eden who used this as tune for the Nederlandse Top 40 op Radio Mi Amigo.
