Het is echt zo'n moment dat je wist waar je was toen je het nieuws hoorde. Ook ik was geschokt door het nieuws. De man maakte op mij een onuitwisbare indruk en als jong jochie had ik ook wel een aantal elpees, singles en posters. Nu 14 jaar later wordt hij nog steeds gemist en dat zal denk ik voor altijd wel blijven. Gelukkig heb ik hem live kunnen zien in juni 1997 tijdens zijn HIStory tour in de Amersterdam Arena voor slechts 80 gulden. De man zal voor mij altijd bijzonder en geniaal blijven in de muziekindustrie en ik ben benieuwd naar de film over zijn leven die op dit moment wordt gemaakt.
