Op 29 minuten in de opname wordt verwezen naar het concert van ELP in London. Dat werd gehouden op 18-21 april.

Op donderdag 11 april 1974 ging Andy Archer voor verlof van één week van boord. Het programma Schools Out tussen 21:00-23:00 werd overgenomen door Brian Anderson. Deze uitzending zit in het archief. Brian begint om 21:00 met Tom Clay - What the World Needs Now. Na afloop zegt hij dat deze plaat de afgelopen dagen vaker is gedraaid vanwege de omstandigheden. Wát die waren weet ik niet. Wel stond deze plaat om 22:00 uur op nummer 5 in de Personal Top 5 van Andy Archer. Dus die relatie zou kunnen kloppen!

De uitzenddatum moet dus kort voor 11 april liggen. Een exacte datum heb ik niet kunnen achterhalen.

Bedankt voor je research en correctie, Hans. Ik had ook al op de website van Jon zitten kijken. Andy feliciteert iemand, die op 9 April jarig is. Als dit op 10 April uitgezonden zou zijn dan zou hij misschien verjaardag gisteren of zo gezegd hebben maar misschien ook wel niet. Ik heb nog een andere opname gevonden, op basis waarvan ik vermoed dat deze op woensdag is uitgezonden. Ik ben daar nog mee bezig, ik zal die morgen uploaden. Wordt vervolgd!

I have found another recording dated 7th April 1974 in my archive in which Andy Archer talks about the ELP special two weeks ago and refers to another one coming up on 24th April (in two weeks time) for two hours. Go to 11:00 on the recording.

Just found it referenced in a Free Radio news sheet.....27th March 1974 An Emerson lake and Palmer Special aired from 9-10 pm. So, thats the date 27th March 1974!

That is very well possible. In the notes of Andy Archer (that Jon has published on his website), is stated that the decision to start the Album Top 40 was made on March 23rd. Andy mentions in the Top 40 program, which with this info must have been broadcast on March 26, that he just arrived back on board and has been in the UK for a week. Although he does not mention the meeting with Ronan.

What now does not match anymore is that Andy mentions that he will be in the UK in 10 days, but he only returned to the UK on April 11th (Hans found this info in one of the recordings in his archive).

Does Free Radio News mention that the ELP special has been or will be broadcast on Marh 27, do you know?
