Is identiek aan Dick Palmer van de 28e van Vincent. In feite was het toen al de 29e, maar het betreft het staartje van de programmering van de 28e.

My recollection is that Caroline 389 went off the air on Tuesday 26 June 1973 and did not return, so I think Ian's dates are likely to be correct. Certainly Robin Adcroft, Norman Barrington and Dick Palmer were on board the Mi Amigo on 14/15 June 1973.

I don't know where the data is coming from, but I think it was mentioned on the tape.

Uit het boek Offshore Radio van Gary Bisshop, dat ik toch een beetje beschouw als bijbel op het gebied van zeezenders:

"During 23rd and 24th June 1973 both stations (259 en 389 JFV) were off the air due to generator troubles and at 7.46 pm on 26th June 1973, both stations left the air"

Als ik dat zo lees kan 28 juni dus niet kloppen en als ik dan moet kiezen zou ik opteren voor de genoemde 14e juni.

Ik zal alles binnenkort eens kritisch doorluisteren om te kijken of ik er chocolade van kan maken.

I am pretty sure that the dates on my recordings are accurate. As Mike says, 389 went off the air on June 26th. It is impossible that they were recorded on the 28th/29th.

I am pretty sure I worked out the correct dates for these recordings and the others listed 14/15 June by the day mentioned and the dj line up at the time.

The 1500-1522 is not valid: "Let Your Love Go" by Bread can be downloaded from one of these fine retailers.

I tried again Vincent, but the same thing happened so I am confused. The fisrt song Steve plays on the recording is Bread and Let your love go.. Not sure how to fix that!

At 19.46 BST on June 26th the ill-fated Buda generator finally gave up the ghost putting both transmitters off the air.

The day's programmes, up to this time, had been as follows: (English) 06.00-07,00 Steve England, 07.00-07.30 Johann Maasbach, 07.30-09.00 Roger Day, 09.00-12.00 Johnny Jason, 12,00-15.00 Robin Adcroft, 15.00-18.00 Johnny Jason, 18.00-19.22 Steve England (At 19.22 Steve departed in mid-programme to take the tender to Scheveningen for a week's leave), 19.22 until the generator failure at 19.46 was Paul Alexander.
