Dit nummer is afkomstig van de in Londen geformeerde band waarvan de leden in eerste instantie allemaal afkomstig waren uit Schotland en bij elkaar kwamen na een concert van de formatie Traffic. In 1974 kwam het funky instrumentale nummer ‘Pick up the pieces’ uit en werd nummer 1 in Amerika met meer dan 1 miljoen verkochte exemplaren. Pick up the pieces werd in de maand augustus van 1978 ingezet voor een promospot op Radio Caroline: ‘Wherever you’re going this Bank Holiday Weekend, be sure to take Caroline with you…..’ waarna een programma overzicht volgde.
