Aan boord van de MV Mi Amigo werd op de laatste zondag in juni dat jaar de plaat gebruikt door Bart van Leeuwen om een half uur non stop en het programma van Dominee Toornvliet, dat om half 10 die ochtend begon, aan te kondigen. Pepita werd gecomponeerd door het duo A. Vano en Sammy Qales.
