Ze zijn weer in de lucht, en er zouden (volgens hun Facebook pagina) werkzaamheden zijn geweest aan de zender en antenne. Hoor nog geen verschil, geluid staat behoorlijk in de vervorming. Tegen het overmoduleren aan, maar dit is op dit moment geconstateerd in de avond met veel storingen van met name BBC 5 Live.

DI-RECT is bekroond met een Top 1000 Allertijden Award, omdat 'Soldier On' de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer is in de eindejaarshitlijst. Veronica-luisteraars stemden massaal op het nummer waardoor deze op de elfde positie in de lijst der lijsten staat. De Haagse band is daarmee ook meteen de hoogst genoteerde Nederlandse act dit jaar. Nooit eerder kwam een Nederlandse hit zo snel en zo hoog de lijst binnen. De Veronica Top 1000 Allertijden is vanaf vandaag te horen op Radio Veronica. DI-RECT: "In een bizar jaar als dit is hetgeen dat er met Soldier On is gebeurd heel bijzonder. Het liedje is een eigen leven gaan leiden op een manier die we nooit hadden voorzien. Daar zijn we erg dankbaar voor. Heel tof om te horen dat ook de Veronica luisteraar het liedje in zijn hart heeft gesloten en dat we de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer in de Top 1000 Allertijden zijn, een mooie kers op de taart.” Niet alleen DI-RECT valt deze editie van de Veronica Top 1000 Allertijden in de prijzen. Ook andere Nederlandse acts en artiesten worden gedurende de uitzending van de hitlijst verrast met een award voor een bijzondere notering. Veronica Top 1000 trivia Naast DI-RECT scoorden ook de volgende Nederlandse acts een notering in de Top 100 van de lijst: Kensington, Golden Earring, BLØF, Danny Vera, Anouk, Krezip en Van Dik Hout. De meest genoteerde Nederlandse acts in de Top 1000 Allertijden zijn Anouk en BLØF, beiden met elk negen noteringen. U2 is met maar liefst 23 noteringen de meest genoteerde act in de lijst, de band bemachtigde één notering meer dan Queen. Vorig jaar veroverde Queen voor de dertiende keer de nummer 1 positie met 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Welke artiesten en nummers dit jaar de lijst aanvoeren blijft geheim tot aan de ontknoping op vrijdagmiddag 27 november. Lijst der lijsten Luisteraars van Radio Veronica stemden de afgelopen weken op hun all time favourites en bepaalden daarmee de 51e editie van de Veronica Top 1000 Allertijden. Van maandag 16 tot en met vrijdag 27 november staat het radiostation in het teken van de duizend beste hits ooit gemaakt. De lijst der lijsten is iedere werkdag tussen 09.00 uur en 19.00 uur te horen. ’s Avonds, ’s nachts en in het weekend zijn de hits die overdag gedraaid zijn nogmaals te horen, zodat niemand iets hoeft te missen van de Veronica Top 1000 Allertijden. De lijst is ook iedere dag terug te luisteren via JUKE. Over DI-RECT: Ter ere van hun 20-jarig bestaan heeft DI-RECT het album 'Wild Hearts' gereleased.
