According to Pirate Radio News, the Atlantis transmitter broke down on the 10th January and by 18th January Atlantis was still not on the air. On the 20th January Tony Houston told PRN that Atlantis would be back in 10 days. They were heard on the 23rd with "a bad whistle" on the signal and closed at 2130. Testing on the 25th with a very weak signal They were off on the 26th but heard later in the day with some modulation tests. They were next heard on January 30th at 1930 with a modulation test and again testing on the 31st. Full programmes started again on February 3rd.
However I am not sure that the transmitter broke down on the 10th as I have the following aircheck recordings

So maybe the transmitter broke down around the 13th January???? It might have been hard to tell as the transmission power was very low at this time with limited coverage
