Begin maart nam journaliste Liz Wahl in een live-uitzending van Russia Today ontslag, omdat ze het niet eens was met de manier waarop er verslag gedaan was van het Russisch ingrijpen op de Krim. Vorige maand stapte nog een journalist op bij de zender, ditmaal om de verwrongen verslaggeving rondom het neerstorten van de MH17. In EenVandaag van woensdag 13 augustus (Nederland 1, 18:15 uur) een gesprek met Liz Wahl over de manier waarop het Kremlin de Russische nieuwszenders bestuurt en daarmee de mening van miljoenen Russische kijkers beïnvloedt.
