Lawrie Hallett has recently uploaded a two part documentary he made in late 1983 When Pirates Waived The Rules to Mixcloud. Originally made for LBC, their lawyers got cold feet when they heard it so he then took it to BFBS who did broadcast it in Germany, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Gibraltar etc in early 1984. Both parts are 30 minutes long. Part One is on offshore radio up to 1983. Op 5 Mei 2000 rond 10:00 was Colin Lamb bezig met zijn ochtendprogramma op de LV18 in de haven van Harwich toen ineens een man met een videocamera in de hand de studio binnenkwam. Ik legde uit wat ik kwam doen en Colin heette me van harte welkom. Dit zijn een aantal fragmenten uit het eerste halfuur in de studio van de RNI RSL 2000. In het filmpje heb ik ook beelden gestopt van het verplaatsen van de LV18 van de ene pier naar de andere, zij-aan-zij gesleept door een tugboat.
