A Sunday afternoon in 1978 or 1979. I was listening to Radio Caroline when suddenly a DJ made a distress call to the Coast Guard that there was a little yacht named “Moonraker” in trouble near the radio ship. Is there anybody out there who has a recording of that event? I know it was a Sunday because I tuned in to listen to Rev. Toornvliet’s religious broadcast. I was telling this story to my grandchildren and it would be fun to support this with the real thing.

Sinds 2004 luister ik met grote regelmaat naar Oldies 92 WLNG, een statiion dat onveranderd sinds 1964 oldies mixt met local commercials en PAMS, lots of PAMS jingles. Rusty Potz zit ook sinds het begin bij het station en heeft dagelijks een twee uur durende show tussen 21 en 23 uur< USA time 15-17 uur>. Via http://www.wlng.com/ kun je niet alleen live meeluisteren maar het station heeft gedurende de Potz show de webcam live aan, zeer goede kwaliteit. We zien potz in "actie" in een studio die van boven tot onder is volgepakt met jinglecarts....... helaas, ze worden niet meer gebruikt, maar het levert een prachtig plaatje op.
