Radio 270 From 11th June 1966 Retrospective Complete Top 50

 

Radio 270 was a offshore radio station serving Yorkshire & the North East of England from 1966 to 1967. It broadcast from a converted Dutch lugger called Oceaan 7 positioned in international waters off Scarborough, North Yorkshire followed by a move to a more sheltered position off the coast of Bridlington. Regular broadcasts commenced on the 11th June 1966 & the entire top 50 hits comes from the chart of 9th June 1966 which may have been played. Within the mix are genuine Radio 270 jingles and adverts. All "countdown" jingles weren't included on this station. As always with adverts of the past, they are used for authenticity only & offers made within them will not now be valid. Notes... Track 1 opened the station daily. Track 53 closed the station daily. Tracks 2 to 52 are the entire top 50 (including 1 double "A" side by Tom Jones). Tracks 54 to 67 are DJ theme tunes.
