There was a problem with Avast. It wouldn't even allow me to switch off its web shield, so I uninstalled the software and reinstalled, and now it is allowing access to Pixeldrain.

I have sent an e-mail to Avast to see if we can get this sorted out. I have not received malware reports from any other parties, nor have I detected any malware or suspicious bandwidth on the servers. I assume this is just a false alarm.

Kreeg zojuist een melding over weer een probleem met een virusscanner die Pixeldrain blokkeerde! Ik meld het maar even.

Oh dear, Avast is blocking Pixeldrain again. The only way around this is to add Pixeldrain's https address to the 'excluded servers'  in Avast's web shield preferences.

PowerMusic, interesting to note another anti-virus is blocking Pixeldrain. Switching off web shields is risky, but maybe AVG, like Avast, also has a setting whereby the user can exclude it from checking Pixeldrain, though this may still be risky.

Fornax, I have  also contacted Avast by sending them a 'report a false detection' notice.

It makes sense that AVG has also blocked pixeldrain.. they're owned by Avast. They also have exactly the same false positive form on their site https://www.avg.com/en-us/false-positive-file-form

 

 

Mijn (gratis) Avast is ook de culprit. Ook effe uitgezet en pixel loopt weer als een trein !!

According to an email I have received from Avast, there IS a malware problem at Pixeldrain.  The malware detection seems to be correct (see attached image).

I got the same response. But they're still not telling me what the problem is. I'll just keep sending mails.

Avast has confirmed to me that the problem should be solved now!

Waarom  heb ik dat "gelukkig" niet op m'n MAC ?

As I type this, Avast appears to be allowing access to Pixeldrain via the links on this website. However, go directly to Pixeldrain (without clicking any links in this forum) and Avast is still blocking it. Strange behaviour!
