Bedankt voor het delen van de opname; heb het net beluisterd en wat deze opname zo bijzonder maakt is te horen na 02:40 nl. Brian McKenzie die melding maakt van de 2e kortegolf frequentie; 9780kHz (in de 31 meterband)...

Ter info; ruim een jaar eerder - tot kerst 1971- was deze 2e kg zender overigens ook reeds in gebruik maar toen op 9935kHz afgesteld.

De tests op 9780kHz in 1973 zouden overigens slechts kort duren.

Yes, Radio Noordzee in 1964 from REM Island.

      Eric Weissberg - Shuckin' The Corn. Eén van de prachtige nummers uit de Soundtrack van de film ‘Deliverance’ uit 1973. Der film kwam trouwens in 1972 al in de bioscopen in de VS. Het was in 1974 Don Allen die de soundtrack in de productiestudio van RNI op de MEBO II op de draaitafel legde voor het maken van een promotiespot ten bate van zijn eigen Country Jamboree programma, dat iedere zaterdagavond tussen 8 en 10 uur Britse tijd werd uitgezonden.
       
      Eric Weissberg - Shuckin' The Corn. One of the beautiful songs from the Soundtrack of the 1973 movie 'Deliverance'. By the way, the film already appeared in cinemas in the US in 1972. It was in 1974 Don Allen who put the soundtrack on the turntable at the production studio of RNI on the MEBO II to make a promotion spot for his own Country Jamboree program, which was broadcasted every Saturday evening between 8 and 10 o'clock British time.

      " 41 RNI Jingels " van 29 = 01 tot en met 69 = 41 wat overeen komt met nr 41 (Ik hoop dat er géén fouten geslopen zijn want het is een lange lijst) Wie fouten ziet die mag dat zeker melden ? graag zelfs. De jingels komen van een cd waar nog meer jingels op staan ooit uit gebracht in de UK (East Anglia) en voor zij dit niet weten wie ik bedoel dan schrijf ik Any Anderson en dan weet je wel wie ik bedoel ?.

      Band of the Dutch Royal Airforce – Pennsylvania 6-500. De titel van dit nummer is een telefoonnummer in New York City voor een hotel met de naam ‘Pennsylvania’. Het swing jazz nummer is een compositie van Glenn Miller die er dan ook een hit mee had met zijn orkest. De uitvoering van Pennsylvania 6-500 van de Band of the Dutch Royal Airforce werd ingezet door Tony Allan op RNI. Hij verving Alan West in zijn programma in april 1971 en gebruikte het nummer als eindtune.

The performance of Pennsylvania 6-500 by the Band of the Dutch Royal Airforce was started by Tony Allan on RNI. He replaced Alan West in his program in April 1971 and used the song as a final tune.
