Deze band werd in 1969 opgericht door Adolf Tevreden en Bernito Riley en bestond destijds alleen uit in Nederland wonende Surinamers. Men noemde zich destijds The Silverstone Steelband. Opmerkelijk is dat men op een bepaald moment ging optreden in Duitsland als Trinidad Oil Company Steelband. In 1977 werd het nummer Edison opgenomen en het zinnetje uit de tekst: ‘thank you for the music at the discoshow, everybody dancing to the radio’ gebruikt voor een jingle in de opener van de Discoshow op Radio Mi Amigo.
