Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges – Wabash Blues. Prachtig mooie jazz nummer uit 1959 op de lp ‘Back to Back’ op het Verve label met Duke aan de piano en Johnny op alt saxofoon. Het was Ds. Geert Toornvliet die in 1973 het gebruikte voor een lange spot om Radio Condor te promoten tijdens een testuitzending. De band is echter nooit uitgezonden omdat het station door de nodige problemen ook nooit in de ether is gekomen. “We leven in een wereld van democratie zegt U? Kenny Clare and Ronnie Stephenson – Drum Spectacular. Dit genoemde duo nam in 1966 een hele lp op waarop de drums een meer dan belangrijke rol speelden. Drum Spectacular was het openingsnummer en dat nummer werd door Steph Willemse van Radio Condor gebruikt in zijn testprogramma om te vertellen dat het zou worden gebruikt voor ‘Jazz time on Radio Condor’.
