Evensong – I was her cowboy. Een nummer afkomstig van de prachtige lp uit 1973 die de naam van de Britse groep als titel meekreeg. Een nummer geschreven door Mike Moran en Ray Fenwick. Die laatste kennen we van zijn aanwezigheid in onder meer de Tee Set en After Tea. Het nummer ‘I was her cowboy’ werd op de zeezenders dubbel ingezet. Allereerst was het Don Allen die in een promospot zijn luisteraars op RNI voor de daarop volgende zaterdag uitnodigde twee uur lang te luisteren naar de mooiste countrymuziek. Op Caroline werd het in 1973 ook gebruikt voor een jingle: ‘Bert Bennet and Bill Stones, two boys from Holland who use make up……’.

We know the latter from his presence in the Tee Set and After Tea, among others. The song 'I was her cowboy' was used twice on the offshore stations. First of all it was Don Allen who invited his listeners on RNI for the following Saturday in a promo spot to listen to the most beautiful country music for two hours. On Caroline it was also used in 1973 for a jingle: 'Bert Bennet and Bill Stones, two boys from Holland who use make up......'.
