John Keating - Prelude to Earthrise A song composed and performed by Edinburgh, Scotland-born John Keating. When you think of his name, you quickly think of his big success 'Theme from Z-Cars', but he has composed a wide range of music, including for a large number of films. He was also involved in London Records' Phase 4 project in the 1970s. The Prelude to Earthrise was used by Peter Holland to end his 'Doorsnee Noordzee' programme at one point in 1973. In doing so, he made ample use of mixing in Radio Noordzee jingles as well as the sound of clucking chickens.
