I don't know what this recording is. The one I've got with this title is totally different, the first song played is "A hard rain's a-gonna fall" by Bryan Ferry. This is the same as posted by Hans on the neighbours.

I've listened to Afl.55, you are quite correct. However, I don't understand why there is so much interference on that posted by Jan V.

I have this correct from this date in my pc like Hans just said and in better quality i just heard in the ABTT from Jan and the one i got from Hans long time ago ... That one sound better . So i think it are different recordings from other places ...

In een aantal van deze uren hoor  je naast het Veronica tijdsein ook nog twee andere tijdsein pieps op de achtergrond in de 538 draaggolf. Vermoedelijk dus van Capital Radio en de Oost Duitse zender op deze frequentie. In het uur Lexjo is het signaal helemaal rommelig van aard, zal waarschijnlijk verder landinwaarts zijn opgenomen dan de kustprovincies. Om 19.00 is het nog niet wat je noemt echt donker op 24 september, je zou verwachten dat het nog een redelijk schoon signaal zou kunnen zijn.

In het begin vd avond werd 538 vaak gestoord  door buitenland. In de zgn Grey Zone. 

Later werd het juist weer beter. 

 

Ook Zwitserland zat vanuit Monte Ceneri op 538. Die naam vind je vaak op oude radio schalen. 

 

Wat is de "zgn Grey Zone"  ?

In t kort, de periode zo rond zon opkomst en die bij zon ondergang. Dus 2 x per dag.

In 1973 was er nog geen zomertijd en was het op 23 september al net zo donker om 19.00 uur als nu om 20.00 uur.
