Radio Caroline laat op de eigen website weten dat ze toestemming hebben gekregen om op 648 kHz uit te zenden met een vermogen van 1 kW. Een zender is al aangeschaft en wordt gereed gemaakt voor deze frequentie. 648 kHz is de oude frequentie van de BBC World Service. De frequentie komt overeen met een golflengte van 463 meter. Zal dus wel 'Caroline on 459' of zoiets worden... Piet.

Al heel goed te ontvangen in het westen van Nederland en dat gaat met meer vermogen (natuurlijk) nog beter worden. Ik zit nu ( 12-13 uur Ned tijd ) een uurtje naar KBC - 6095 Khz te luisteren. Maar vindt ik dat leuk? Nee dus. Gewoon "plaatje op en plaatje af". Fantasieloos. Wat bezielt die mensen? Om voor veel geld een zender af te huren en ons te laten "meegenieten" van hun hobby gedoe. Ja, ik zal het maar direct schrijven;'je hoeft er niet naar te luisteren". En dat ga ik ook nu niet meer doen. Ontvangst hier (Elburg) is OK dat weer wel. Het varieert hier op m'n R70 van S6-S9. ( Voor wat het waard is ). Juul

Geachte lezers, Ja ik beken..... ik heb een AM tic. Want al jarenlang luister ik elke morgen naar de middengolf! Dan probeer ik om stations 'van ver' (DX) te ontvangen. Ik ga proberen of ik mijn Update lijstje hier kan plaatsen.... Sinds een paar weken, kan ik weer volop genieten: ze zijn er weer. Maar ik moet er wel op tijd (vroeg) bij zijn, anders lukt het écht niet meer. Want als de zonnepanelen hier om me heen aangaan, doe ik de radio uit. RDI is hier al een paar keer geweest, maar ja..... Al die storende rotzooi ligt al op daken, om dan de storing weg te krijgen. Overdag is het hier Storing / Ruis, dan de radio…

KFI 640AM In NYC de 2e stad, maar belangrijkste stad, staat 1010 WINS op nr 3. En hier, alleen maar LPAM (hebben ze in USA ook) met geen luisteraars. Ik luister regelmatig naar Gold uit Engeland die hier op 603 khz erg goed te ontvangen is . Het gekke is dat ik sinds een paar dagen een heel slecht dof geluid hoor op dit signaal . Het komt niet door mijn radio , want andere middengolf zenders komen goed door . Heeft iemand enig idee hoe dit komt ? Ik heb trouwens al een tijdje een raar gevoel bij luisteren naar Engelse zenders want de middengolf zender van BBC Radio Kent laat een bandje horen waarmee ze aangeven dat je ze alleen via FM kan horen . Wij mogen hier op het continent schijnbaar niets meer horen . Heel vreemd !!
