Aiir heeft besloten om PlayoutONE Standard volledig gratis beschikbaar te stellen voor iedereen die een radiostation wil opzetten of een bestaand project wil aansturen. Het gaat om de oorspronkelijke versie van de software, die tot voor kort werd aangeboden tegen een eenmalig bedrag. De keuze is gemaakt om de financiële drempel voor beginnende radiomakers aanzienlijk te verlagen. Volgens Aiir heeft het programma in de loop der jaren een groot aantal stations geholpen en blijft het ook zonder toe

World Radio TV Handbook 2026 verschijnt voor het laatst in gedrukte vorm

Het World Radio TV Handbook (WRTH), wereldwijd bekend als een standaardwerk voor radio- en luisteramateurs, verschijnt in 2026 voor het laatst als gedrukte uitgave. De 80e editie is het einde van een traditie die decennialang de internationale radiogemeenschap heeft ondersteund. Het is mogelijk om een exemplaar van de papieren editie vooraf te bestellen tussen 24 september en 31 oktober via de website. De gedrukte versie van het WRTH 2026 kost 59,90 euro plus verzendkosten.
