Radio Liberty hervat uitzendingen op 1386 kHz

Vanaf vrijdag 1 augustus worden de uitzendingen van Radio Liberty hervat op de middengolffrequentie 1386 kHz vanuit Litouwen. Deze uitzendingen werden gestaaakt vanwege problemen met de finaniering. De zender is dagelijks te horen van 08:30 tot 11:30 (Moskou-tijd). Het programma bestaat uit live nieuws, actualiteitentalkshows, gesprekken met deskundigen en opiniemakers over politiek, cultuur en het maatschappelijk leven, podcasts en geselecteerde fragmenten uit het archief van Radio Liberty. Einde aan middengolfuitzendingen voor Russische dienst van Radio Free Europe

De Russische dienst van Radio Svoboda, onderdeel van Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), is met ingang van 15 april 2025 gestopt met haar uitzendingen op de middengolffrequentie 1386 kHz. De programma’s blijven echter beschikbaar via digitale platforms, waaronder de officiële website Svoboda.org, YouTube, satelliet (Eutelsat Hotbird 13G) en diverse podcastdiensten.
